ENet made recommendations in each of the 5 areas with emphasis on:
1) Website Appearance, 2) Website Content and 3) Website Marketing Message.
In summary form:
1. Appearance – ENet suggested while not a poorly designed website, GetintoFOREX.com did not project the quality it should. GIF was advised that being in the financial services industry and considering the website’s target audience (investors) that the website should have a more sophisticated design in order to instill confidence to the visitor.
2. Content – Website review showed that the amount of website content needed to be increased and that the current content did not flow as well as it could.
3. Marketing Message – Analysis showed that the website’s marketing message was not readily apparent or clear. One difficulty was that GIF wanted multiple conversions from the same website: 1) to sell videos 2) to sell a monthly subscription service 3) obtain signups of FOREX trading accounts at participating brokerages, 4) Sell GIF’s managed account services, and 5) obtain newsletter signups. The challenges of multiple conversions were explained and suggestions for making the message clearer and more quickly understood by the website visitor.
An added challenge was that GIF a licensed financial firm was required to have every page of text approved by a governmental agency.
Post this discussion GIF elected to have a redesign of their website as well as engage ENet to provide marketing consultation to adjust the website’s marketing message.
The Consulting and Design Phase
ENet conducted a telephone interview with the client to obtain a clear understanding of the company’s business model, strength’s, weaknesses and objectives. ENet marketers worked to crystallize GIF’s marketing message into a more concise presentation, worked with designers to create a homepage that presented the company story, quickly captured the visitor’s attention and compelled the visit to take a positive action on the website. ENet made recommendations and GIF’s team crafted additional content for the website.
ENet designers presented GIF with two different examples for a new website design:
Completion Phase
GIF management chose Version Two as their favorite version. After further discussion, a modifications list of changes was drafted and changes made to the new design. In this case, the entire website was then subject to federal agency examination. After compliance review the new GetintoFOREX.com website was launched.
